The Institute of Cost Accountants of India: Online Certificate Course ESG Considerations in Valuation

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors would have to be considered and factored in valuations consequent upon the changes to the International Valuation Standards (IVS), with effect from 31st January 2025. The changes will impact several key sections of the IVS, including IVS 104, which now requires valuers to integrate relevant ESG considerations as part of the data and inputs.

The upcoming course will cover:

Understanding ESG in Valuation: Key insights into how ESG factors affect valuations and the types and dimensions of factors that should be considered across different asset types.

Practicalities of Reporting ESG Factors: Practical guidance on documenting and reporting ESG
factors within your valuation reports to comply with the new
IVS standards.

Sourcing and Validating ESG Evidence: Tools, techniques and strategies for sourcing credible evidence on ESG factors, including data on environmental impacts, social considerations, and governance metrics.

Case Studies and Examples: Real-world applications and case studies that demonstrate how ESG factors have been considered and factored in valuations.
