The 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), held in Hong Kong from 20-22 November, brought together a global assembly of over 300 valuation professionals, international leaders, and stakeholders. Hosted by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) at the Dorsett Kai Tak Hotel, this prestigious event highlighted the pivotal role of global standards, innovation, and collaboration in shaping the future of valuation practices.

- Gala Dinner at Happy Valley Racecourse:
A standout moment of the AGM, this exclusive evening hosted at the iconic Hong Kong Jockey Club blended networking with the vibrant energy of Hong Kong’s horse-racing culture. - IVSC-HKIS Hong Kong Conference:
Valuation experts from the region shared insights on pressing topics such as AI in valuation, ESG impacts, and regulatory trends, setting the stage for dynamic discussions. Thought-provoking panels featured renowned names from organisations such as LINK REIT, HSBC, and KPMG, adding depth to the dialogue. - Advisory Forum:
Attendees engaged in in-depth conversations about advancing valuation standards, including initiatives by Development Banks and the application of technology in valuations, fostering collaboration across sectors. - IVSC Board and Public Meetings:
The IVSC’s Standards Boards, Board of Trustees, Advisory Forum Working Group, Financial Instruments Board, Business Valuation Board, Tangible Assets Board, and Membership & Standards Recognition Committee convened to discuss strategic priorities and initiatives. Selected public sessions were made available online, offering audiences worldwide the opportunity to listen to these important discussions.
