The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), the global standard setter for valuation practice and the valuation profession, has appointed Kathleen Casey, Anton Colella and Alan Johnson to its Board of Trustees. The trio are the latest high-profile appointments at the IVSC.
Kathleen Casey is a senior advisor with Potomac Global Partners, a financial services consulting firm in Washington, DC. She has more than two decades of experience in senior government regulatory, legal and policy roles. Ms. Casey completed her five-year term as a Commissioner with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in August 2011. During her tenure, Ms. Casey acted as the SEC’s principal representative in various international fora, including multilateral and bilateral regulatory dialogues, the G20 Financial Stability Board, and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
Anton Colella is Chief Executive of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, one of the world’s leading professional bodies. In 2011, Mr. Colella was elected Chair of the Global Accounting Alliance (GAA), which has around one million members in 165 countries, and represents a collection of leading institutes from around the world. A former Chief Executive of the Scottish Qualifications Authority, Mr. Colella combines knowledge of the UK and international business environment with his strong background in education and development.
Alan Johnson has recently finished his term as a Non-executive Director of Jerónimo Martins SGPS, S.A., a food retailer with operations in Portugal, Poland, and Colombia. He chairs Jerónimo Martins’ Internal Control Committee. Mr. Johnson was Chief Financial Officer of the company from 2012 to 2014. Between 2005 and 2011 he served as Chief Audit Executive for the Unilever Group. Mr. Johnson also served as Chief Financial Officer of Unilever’s Global Foods businesses and worked for Unilever for 35 years in various finance and general management positions in Africa, Europe, and Latin America.
